PVC ID card printing, explained
A PVC ID card is the same durable plastic card format as a bank ATM card, an Aadhaar smart card or a driving licence — credit-card sized, printed edge-to-edge, and built to survive a wallet or lanyard for years rather than a laminated paper printout that cracks and peels within months. That durability is exactly why offices, schools, societies and shops issue ID, membership and access cards in PVC rather than on paper.
Why CSC / VLE operators use this specifically
If you run a CSC or VLE centre, you already deal with ID and reference cards every day — Aadhaar, PAN, ration card copies, staff ID for your own counter, or membership cards for a local society you also help run. Printing those on real PVC, without owning a card printer yourself, means uploading the design once here and having it delivered — no per-shop minimum order, no travelling to a printing press, and a fixed, visible price before you pay.
Getting your design ready
The card prints exactly what is in the file you upload, so the file matters more than anything else. A photo of the card held at an angle, or a screenshot with visible edges of something else around it, prints exactly that way. If your design started life as a scan of an existing card, this site's ID card cropper tools will crop it to the correct card size first — use the one matching your card type, or the general ID card cutter for anything else. A clean, correctly-cropped JPG, PNG or PDF at full resolution is what prints cleanest.
Looking after a printed PVC card
Keep it away from direct heat (a car dashboard in the sun can warp a PVC card) and avoid deep scratches across the printed face. Beyond that, it needs no special care — that is the entire point of choosing PVC over a laminated paper card in the first place.
Questions
When is my order actually confirmed?
Only after your payment succeeds. The moment Razorpay confirms the payment, we generate your Order ID (like VLEPC48213) and email it to you. Nothing is printed or shipped before that.
What happens if my payment fails?
Nothing is charged and no order is created. You will see a retry button and can try again — with a different card, UPI app, or net banking.
What if money was deducted but I did not get an Order ID?
That almost never happens because we verify every payment twice — once from your browser and once directly with Razorpay's own servers — but if it ever does, raise a ticket with your payment ID from the Razorpay confirmation and we will sort it out.
How long does delivery take?
Around 2-3 working days after payment. We email you again the moment your card is dispatched, with the courier tracking number.
What file should I upload for the card design?
A clear photo or PDF of the front (and back, if you have one) exactly as you want it printed — name, photo, ID number, logo, whatever the card should show. JPG, PNG or PDF, up to 15 MB each.
Can I track my order?
Yes — sign in and open "PVC card orders" from your account, or check the email we send at every stage: paid, printing, dispatched (with tracking number), delivered.
What size and material is the card?
Standard credit-card size PVC (the same size as an ATM card, Aadhaar card or driving licence) — whatever you upload is printed edge-to-edge on that card, front and back.
Can I order in bulk — for a whole office or a class?
Yes, set the quantity on the order form to however many you need. Every card in that order uses the same front/back design you upload; for different designs per card, place separate orders or raise a ticket and we will help you batch them.
How is this different from printing at a local shop?
No visit, no waiting at a counter, no minimum order some shops insist on. Upload once from anywhere, pay online, and it is printed and posted to your address — the same Order ID and status emails as any other online order.
My design has a photo and small text — will it come out clear?
Yes, as long as the file you upload is clear at full size — the print reproduces exactly what is in the file, so a blurry or low-resolution upload prints blurry. If in doubt, use one of the card-cropper tools on this site first to get a clean, correctly-sized file before uploading here.
