How to use it
- Choose the e-Aadhaar PDF you downloaded from UIDAI. It is password protected — the tool will ask, and the password is the first four letters of your name in CAPITALS plus your birth year, like SURE1990.
- The front and back crop themselves automatically from the standard e-Aadhaar layout — no dragging needed. Use the small ↺ button on either one only if it needs adjusting.
- A photo of the physical card (instead of the PDF) still asks you to drag the box, since a photo is not a fixed layout.
- Build the sheet and print it at 100% / actual size, then cut along the guide lines.
Questions about this tool
What is the password on the Aadhaar PDF?
The first four letters of your name exactly as printed on the Aadhaar, in capitals, followed by your four-digit year of birth. For SURESH PATIL born 1990, that is SURE1990. A name shorter than four letters uses all of it plus the year.
Why not just print the PDF?
The UIDAI PDF is an A4 sheet with the card in one corner, surrounded by text. Printing it gives you a paper sheet, not a card. This crops the card out at its true 85.6 x 54 mm and puts the front and back on one page ready to cut.
Is this an official PVC Aadhaar card?
No. The official PVC card is ordered from UIDAI for a fee and carries a hologram and a security QR. This produces a printed copy at the correct size — the same thing every photocopy shop makes, and accepted anywhere a photocopy is.
Does my Aadhaar get uploaded?
No. The PDF is opened and cropped entirely inside your browser. Nothing reaches our server — which matters more for this document than for any other on the site.
