How to use it

Questions about this tool
Where do I download the Maharashtra ration card?
mahafood.gov.in — Public Distribution System, then the online ration card option. Some districts issue it through the Aaple Sarkar portal instead.
My ration card is a paper booklet, not a card.
Photograph the pages flat in good light and crop each one. The crop box is set to card proportions; for a full booklet page, use the universal converter to make a PDF instead.
Does the printed copy work at the ration shop?
Distribution is done against the Aadhaar-linked biometric record, so the shop checks the database rather than the paper. The printed copy is for your own reference and for offices that ask for a photocopy.
A big family — will the auto-crop still get the whole family list?
Yes. It reads the printed border on the page itself rather than assuming a fixed size, so a longer or shorter family list crops correctly either way. If it ever looks off for a particular file, redo that one side manually with the ↺ button.
